Yes, someone who does not belong to Haryana is also eligible to apply for BA at CDLU. As per the reservation policy followed at the university, 15% of the total seats are unreserved and to be filled through All India Quota (AIQ). Candidates who belong to any other state of India can contest for these seats. To apply for these seats, candidates must fill out the application form that is applicable to the candidates belonging to an Indian state other than Harayana. The form is available on the official website of the university.

Based on the NIRF Report 2022, the median package offered during UG (3-year) placements of the university was INR 1.2 LPA. Students have rated CDLU BA placements on Shiksha.com. One reviewer shared in 2021 that 7% of the batch got placed with decent salary packages. Another reveiwer descibed BA placements at CDLU as good. The BA programme offered at Jai Hind College has received good reviews from alumni and students in terms of placements, infrastructure and, quality of teaching. According to the verified Shiksha Reviews, students have left the following Jai Hind College BA reviews:
- Placements were offered by top companies working in the media sector, advertising, PR agencies. Average package was something around INR 20,000 per month to INR 35,000 per month. Around 70% batch got placed as some others looked for their Master's degree or outside placements.
- The college campus has an amazing canteen, well-equipped classrooms, and proper South Bomba

Candidates seeking admission to the BA and BA Advertising and Journalism programmes are required to meet the Jai Hind College BA eligibility. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any other Board are eligible for Jai Hind College BA admission.

The median package offered to UG (three-year) students during the Jai Hind College placements in 2022 was INR 3.62 LPA.

The total student intake for BA at CDLU is 190. The university also offers various BA courses through its affiliated colleges. The total number of BA seats including the seats at the colleges affiliated with CDLU is 11,421. This further gets divided among the BA specialisations offered at various colleges. All these seats are filled through a common admission process of CDLU. The mentioned number of seats has been sourced from the official website of the university.
