Both the courses are different and have different pros and cons. The Polytechnic courses started to provide employment at the age of 18. Initially, students who wanted to start earning early to support the family used to opt for these courses. But this trend has changed over the years. Regards.

Do not lose your hope apply for the course in which you want to enroll, there are many colleges where the admission is based on counselling and personal interview. For a good career, you can do CA (charted accountant) or you can go for banking sector.

To be eligible for a Diploma program or a certificate course, a student is required to have passed minimum 12th standard from ICSE/CBSE or any equivalent examination from a recognized university/board.
The last year cutoff was 90% for B.Com program, so there are less chances but there are many good institutes where you can apply for the admission.
