Candidates without having Mathematics or Biology will have to make up for their deficiency by taking pre-requisite courses in the subject (Mathematics / Biology) to be offered during the first two semesters. For admission into B.V.Sc & A.H and B.F.Sc. subject combination P.C.B. in + 2 science/equivalent is mandatory. Similarly, for B.Tech (Agril. Engg.), subject combination P.C.M in + 2 science / equivalent are mandatory.

A wide range of industries, including government, academia, research, conservation, and the private sector, are covered by the BFSc program. To choose the best career path, people should investigate their strengths and areas of interest within the field.

Students can find job opportunities in public as well as private sectors such as research institutes, nationalised banks, aquariums, fish farms, feed manufacturing units, fish breeding centres, fish processing and marketing firms, food departments, fish disease diagnostic centre, etc.

To secure a seat for B.F.Sc. at Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, you need a competitive score in the entrance exam. Historically, the cutoff for B.F.Sc. has ranged from about 58.56 to 68.583 depending on the category of the applicant. Achieving a score within or above this range improves your chances of admission. For the most accurate and current cutoff information, regularly check the official OUAT website or contact the university's admissions office directly.
