Both courses are very nice. In Engineering, lots of streams are there like ECE, EEE, ME, IT, CSE, which have good opportunities in present situation, as the technology keeps on developing. Try to join in the best college of Engineering, so that one will get better placements. Starting salary may vary from college to college placements and company to company basis, but it would not be less than 20K - 30K. Coming to B.Pharma, it is different side. At present, India is hub for pharma industry, as it is second largest producer of medicines in the world. It would be better if someone who joined in B.pharm also complete his/her MBA or PGDM in premium colleges like XLRI, NMIMs, and IIMs to get very attractive packages in this pharma field. If one is placed in MNC pharma, starting salary would be Rs. 80000 to 1 Lakh, but only with B.pharmacy, no one will get this much salary at starting stages even after 6 years of job joining.

Pharmacy entrance exam pattern:
The exam pattern will vary according to the university or the state government conducting it. Usually, the question paper will include a total of 150 to 200 questions and its duration will be 2 and a half or 3 hours. The syllabus is generally covered from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
If the candidates have prepared a well-planned schedule for the preparation then it will be more helpful for them to achieve the aim. The planned schedule must be realistic too. They should make the plan practical and must complete the work for each day.
Bachelor of Pharmacy eligibility:
Bachelors in pharmacy requires a candidate to have cleared 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM), Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Biology as subjects. One must also pass with at least 50% marks in the pre-university course with biology/mathematics as one of the subjects, or complete a D.Pharma. (Diploma in Pharmacy).
There is an option of taking direct admission in the second year of Bachelor of Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) if one has:
An aggregate of 50% marks in the first and second year D. Pharmacy examination and the candidate should have completed HSC or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) or Mathematics.
The criteria of the minimum percentage of marks may differ from institute to institute. In some states, it is also mandatory to give an additional pharmacy entrance examination in order to be eligible for the course.
