Nowadays, it is becoming tougher to get admission in the top agricultural universities in India directly. In order to get admission in some of the top universities/colleges, you have to write the entrance exam organized by the respective universities/colleges. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting All India Entrance Examinations for admission to B.Sc M.Sc & Ph.D courses in Agril Universities, and award of scholarships and fellowships to the National Testing Agency from 2019 onwards. B.Sc Agriculture is very important course in India. After B.Sc, you may continue for M.Sc and Ph.D in many Agriculture subjects like Agronomy, Soil Sciences, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Nematology, Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Agril. Economics, Agril. Statistics, Extension, etc. After completion, there are many available posts which you can select, like Research Officer, Teaching posts, Scientists, Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Loan Officer, Production Officer, Farm Manager, etc. In both government and private agencies/offices. But before taking any admission in any college/universities, one must make sure that the college/university where you are going to get admission is recognized by ICAR/UGS/VCI since most of the top Agril universities allow only those students who passed from the recognized college/universities for entrance examination for further studies.
