Dear Sachin, there are various courses to become a data analyst. Yes of course, graduation or a PG degree is more than enough to go for data analyst course. Most entry-level data analyst jobs require at least a Bachelors degree. To become a data analyst, you will want to earn a degree in a subject such as mathematics, statistics, economics, marketing, finance, or computer Science. However, you can find some short term data Science courses that will help you understand the work better and master the field by taking small steps. You can visit the below mentioned url for more details. https://www.udemy.com/topic/data-analysis/

Hello Sachin, as per my experience of government job exams, there are different government exams but only very few are exclusively for Economics. If you are interested then you can go for School Service Commission or College Service Commission Exams those are held for different subjects. Other than that there are very few exams of Agricultural sector amd Economic Affair Department that may require an Economics graduate. You can also try for UPSC, SSC, IBPS to increase your chances of getting a good job. All the best. You can further search all the government websites and see if there are any vacancies as of now.

You can pursue a B.Sc (General) - Three Duration Degree, which will add Statistics, Economics & Political Science as Subjects in it. But, it will be equivalent to a Degree in Humanities Stream. So, you can pursue an MA (Economics), MA (Political Science) and an M.Sc (Statistics).

Students will be selected based on their potential for academic rigor and extra-curricular engagement. These include AAT Ashoka Aptitude Test or ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) scores or 10+2 marks projects, and research, if applicable, as well as the disciplined and committed pursuit of varied interests and passions. Equally, the on-the-spot essay written at the time of the interview and the in-person interview with the panel, also contribute to the decision for admission. Thanks!

Hi Akansha!
It is good to have something additional along with your graduation degree. However, the kind of course totally depends upon your area of interest and your career aspiration. Being the economics students, you can pursue some course related to Finance, Investment or Risk Management. Based on the industry trends, the skills of 'Advance statistics', 'Data Analytics', and 'Machine Learning' are highly expected from Finance and Economics students. Finally, my recommendation is to start your parallel course with MS Office training. Be an expert in Excel (Scenarios and Sensitivity Analysis, Visualization, PowerPivot (must do) and PP
