JEE Advanced 2026 registrations will mostly start in April 2026 and exam will be in May 2026. Visit the official website from time to time to know the exact dates.

Students interested to enroll in BSc courses at IIT Kharagpur are required to appear for the qualifying examination which is JEE Advanced. The registrations is expected to start in April 2026. Deadline will be further notified with release of application form.

At the time of admission, students are required to submit certain important documents (original/copies). These documents are required for verification purposes. The documents to be kept handy at the time of admission are enlisted below:

  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
  • Passing out certificate
  • Valid photo ID proof
  • Aadhaar card
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

Yes, in order to take admission in BSc at IIT Kharagpur, candidates need to appear qualify JEE Advance. JEE Advance or Joint Entrance Examination is conducted by one of the IITs every year by rotation under the supervision of a Joint Admission Board, which comprises of representatives from all the IITs. Interested students must first qualify JEE Mains in order to appear for JEE Advance.

In order to be eligible to apply for BSc courses at IIT Kharagpur, candidates must have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Moreover, candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1999. Five years’ age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.

Alagappa University BSc course admission is merit-based. Hence, the selection is done based on merit in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12. However, for the BSc in Physical Education, the candidates are selected based on performance in Medical Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Games Test. Candidates who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with required minimum percentage can apply. The applications are accepted via online mode through the official website of the university. Following conclusion of application process, a merit list is released and then seat allotment is done.

Yes, IIT Kharagpur has set an upper age limit for BSc admissions. Candidates born on or after October 1, 1999 are eligible to apply. Five years’ age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.

There is no seat reservation at the university for SC/ST candidates. However, Alagappa University reserve seats for differently-abled students applying for the BSc course. The university reserve 5% of seats in each course for this category candidates. Apart from this, the SC/ST candidates may get some seat relaxation, if approved by the government of Tamil Nadu.

The university admit candidates as per the sanctioned seat intake for the respective college. It follows the reservation policy as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Moreover, there are 5% seats reserved for the differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). To avail seat under this category, candidates have to submit the relevant documents.
