B.Tech Fees

The fees for SKR Engineering College for B.E./B.Tech are usually in the range of INR 50,000 to INR 100,000 per year, depending on the quota and branch of admission. The lower government quota seats through TNEA have a lower fee of about INR 50,000-65,000 per year, and for management quota, the fee is as high as about INR 85,000-1,00,000 per year.

There will additionally be some other costs for hostel (INR 50,000-70,000 per annum), examination fee, and other charges. Scholarships or fee waivers can be offered to deserving candidates or economically weak students. Previous years' TNEA saw such ones being given to the local students under the government quota. 

The B.E./ B.Tech fees range from INR 2,77,827 to INR 4,34,784 (total tuition fees for four years) at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology (SVPCET) depending on specialisation and quota of admission. Fees are lesser with government quota seats through MHT CET or JEE Main, around INR 69,000 to 80,000 annually; management quota is up to INR 1,10,000 yearly.

There are other expenses to consider like hostel fees, which will be about INR 60,000 to 80,000 per year; examination fees may also be payable; and admission fees just once, which will be about INR 5,000. Scholarships for deserving candidates or reserved category students may further lessen the cost. 

Most of the professional courses given above take B.E. and B.Tech as the mandatory prefix. Shree Devi Institute of Technology charges the fees under this category closer to the earlier mentioned figures of an approximate range between 80,000 and 200,000 per academic year, depending on the admission quota selected by the student and the branch they wish to study.

For example, for government ratio seats through KCET, the fees will lie on the lesser side with an INR range of 80,000-1,00,000 year, while, on the contrary, COMEDK or management quota applies above INR 1,50,000-2,00,000. There will also include some other incidental expenses like hostel bills (INR about 60,000-90,000 yearly), examination fees, and what else not. Any scholarship or fee waiver can further add costs.

Government quota seats which are filled through WBJEE counseling are relatively cheaper- about INR 80,000-90,000 per year, whereas, for the management quota, it might touch INR 1,20,000. There may be other expenses, like for hostel accommodation (about INR 60,000-80,000 per year), exam fees, etc. There are also some fee waivers/scholarships for meritorious students or for students coming from an economically weaker section, which can reduce the expenses.
