According to student reviews, Bhopal doesn't seem to be a suitable place for engineering. Bhopal is considered appropriate for engineering only if you view it as obtaining a degree or certificate in B.Tech or B.E. Students in Bhopal's engineering programs seem disinterested or unaware of terms like IT industry, software, languages, projects, GitHub, WordPress, freelance development, frameworks, startups, etc. They seldom discuss any of these topics; instead, their focus is on clearing backlogs and passing the time. Hi, Bhopal is home to 100+ best Engineering colleges. Of these, 90+ colleges are privately owned, 5 colleges are owned by public/government organisations, and public-private entities own 2 BTech colleges. As admission to IIIT Bhopal BTech progrmme is entirely based on JEE Main exam, therefore, candidates are to submit documents that is relevant for the JEE Main exam. Before JEE Main 2024 registration, students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:
- Valid email id and mobile number
- Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
- Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA

IIIT Bhopal BTech admission starts with the release of JEE Main dates. As per the schedule, to be eligible for BTech admission at this institute, candidates must appear for the JEE Main exam. JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held from January 21, 2026 to January 30, 2026 and session 2 will be held from April 2, 2026 to April 9, 2026.

The total course fee for BTech at IIIT Bhopal is around INR 7.2 lakh. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year 2023-24, hence is indicative. Students can apply to State/Central government Scholarships. Along with the tuition fee, JEE Main application fee for BTech programme is also included. The application fee are INR 1,000 for boys and for girls, it is INR 800.
