To be selected, applicants must complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream with a minimum aggregate of 60% or secure 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics individually. Once the application is filled out for the BTech course at CIET Chandigarh, candidates must submit the relevant documents in the online application process. Moreover, for the offline process, the documents are the same. However, applicants are required to submit a scanned hard copy, and for confirmation, must take their original documents along with them. The names of the documents are as follows:
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
- JEE Main scorecard
- Passport-sized photographs
- ID proof
- Migration/Transfer certificate (if applicable)

Before being admitted to the course, applicants are required to complete their minimum eligibility criteria; that is, applicants must complete their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% or 60% individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. This applies to all engineering programs, including CSE and CSE specialisations, Civil, Mechanical, ECE, Mechatronics, etc.

Yes, you will get CSE at IIT Palakkad with a JEE Advanced cutoff rank of 6000 if you belong to the General AI quota. However, you have to wait till the last round, as the cutoff ranks are generally higher in the initial rounds. For the unreserved category, the IIT Palakkad CSE cutoff 2025 was 5736 in the first round, which is competitive for admission. In the last round, the cutoff rank closed at 6454. Therefore, the probability of you getting CSE with a 6000 rank is high in the last round, only for admission. Please note that the cutoff ranks vary every year for each round.
