Yes, companies treat the B.Tech degree from Polaris School of Technology (PST) as a regular B.Tech qualification because it is awarded by Medhavi Skills University (MSU), a UGC-recognized State Private University established under the Sikkim Act, 2021. Under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act, 1956, this degree is legally equivalent to those from any other recognised university, ensuring it successfully passes Background Verification (BGV) for MNCs,  Government jobs (UPSC/SSC), and higher education (GATE/MS). Thapar University is clearly better for B.Tech CSE than Chitkara University.

Why Thapar > Chitkara (for CSE):

  • Stronger brand & reputation

  • Better placements (higher average & top packages)

  • More competitive peer group

  • Better faculty, coding culture, and alumni network

Chitkara is decent if:

  • You want lower fees

  • Easier admissions

  • More hand-holding and structured discipline

Verdict:
If you can afford it and get in → choose Thapar.
If budget or admission is a constraint → Chitkara is okay, but not in the same league.

It is beneficial to expose students to advanced technical and analytical abilities, leadership, project management, and team management through the MBA after engineering programme. Students are better prepared to assist firms in finding innovative technological solutions to challenging business problems thanks to project-based courses and practical learning experiences. They are exposed to a wide range of topics, including enterprise applications support and organisational assistance for risk management. Some excellent business schools, including Iims, IITs, FMS Delhi, SPJMER, Great Lakes Chennai, LBSIM, JIMS, UBS Chandigarh, SIBM, SCM

Hey, so for B.Tech CS at LPU, placements are pretty solid yaar. Tons of big names like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, Capgemini, Bosch, and Wipro roll in every year, with over 2200 recruiters hitting the campus recently. They made more than 6000 offers to the 2025 batch, and CSE folks grabbed some crazy highs like 64 LPA domestic and even 3 Cr global. Average for top 10% is around 14-15 LPA, and overall CSE avg hovers 7-8 LPA, which sets you up nice for starting out strong. The placement cell preps you with skills training and internships, so lots of us land good gigs without much hassle. It's one of the better spo
