The official report on VIT Chennai BTech placements is not yet available. However, the overall placement report of various VIT campuses is available. As per the report, the overall the highest package offered package during VIT placements in 2025 was INR 1 Crore per annum. Earlier, the the highest and average package offered during VIT placements 2024 stood at INR 88 LPA and INR 9.9 LPA, respectively.

The cutoff for B.Tech. in Computer Engineering at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) Mumbai in 2023 was between 99.9 and 95.51. The closing rank for the General Home State category was 99.95 in Round 1 and 99.9 in the Last Round. The cutoff also is based on the reservations,there are reservations for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and general category.

MIT School of Food Technology doesn't offer direct admission to the BTech regular course. Candidates must have the following qualifications:
Minimum eligibility criteria:
- Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational.
- Minimum aggregate marks of 45 % in PCM and Technical Vocational subjects.
- Relaxation of 5% is given to candidates belonging to Backward Classes and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) of Maharashtra State.
Entrance examinations:

- MHTCET
- PERA CET

Yes, there is seat reservation for the BTech course. MIT Art Design and Technology University follows the reservation Policy as prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra. Forty percent of the seats are reserved for the students domiciled in the State of Maharashtra. That means sixty percent of seats are open. Those seats can be allotted to anyone including Maharashtra Candidates, as these seats are not reserved for OMS.
