In India only few universities offer undergraduate courses in Astronomy. Most students start with a BSc in Physics and specialize in Astronomy at the postgraduate level. Some institutes offer integrated programs for Astronomy. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram – BTech in Space Science and Technology
