Gandhinagar University has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidate must have passed or appeared for Class 12 or equivalent and secured the mentioned marks (40% for the reserved category). Candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subject. |
| M.E./M.Tech | All Non-GATE candidates including sponsored (Non-GATE) shall have to appear in PGCET-2022 to become eligible for admission. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidate must have completed Bachelor Degree of minimum 3 years duration with mentioned marks from any recognised university/institute. Final year students can also apply on provisional basis. |

Candidate who are appearing for the final year degree examination are also be eligible. Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition by Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB. Candidate who passed all the subjects of the three years of any Degree course in one sitting is not eligible for admission. |

| MCA | Candidate must have passed any recognised BCA / Bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination from any recognised institute/university. OR Candidate must have passed B.Sc. / B.Com / B.A. with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduation level (with additional bridge courses as per the norms of the concerned University) and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) taken together in all the subjects in all the years of the Degree Examination from any recognised institute/university. Final year students can also apply on provisional basis. |
