The allocation process for seats offered under the NMIT Bangalore BTech programme are done based on students' performance in the NUCAT exam. It is an in-house entrance test conducted for various courses, including BTech. Those seeking admissions are required to present a valid score in the NUCAT exam and fulfill the eligibility criteria.

Once NMIT Bangalore closes the application window, the admission committee of the institute begins with the allocation process. Thus, candidates aspiring to take admission must participate in the subsequent seat allocation/counselling process. In this process, the BTech seats are offered to registered students based on their performance in the NUCAT exam.

During the document verification stage, all the students who are offered final BTech admissions must report to the NMIT Bangalore campus for verification purposes. Such candidates must also bring along the documents listed below:

• School leaving certificate/transfer certificate
• Category certificate (if applicable)
