You should be specific of which college are you talking about? A rank around 2000-3000 is a very decent rank to get admission in many of the colleges (excluding the top one's like Delhi, Mumbai, Kanpur etc.).

Hi Kuldip, your question is very general and slightly confusing, I think you should mention his stream and personal interests for guidance. You must also check with your son, his aspirations, aptitude, what he likes and dislikes.

Both have bright career options available. If you want to explore in research field and you like to work with chemical jobs or you could be a professors. You should go for chemistry B.Sc. But, if you want to do programming jobs your mind works more conveniently in logics go for computer Science engineering or BCA.
