For getting admissions in any of the B-Schools, you need to give the entrance exam first. Then, you need to clear the GD PI and then. You will be cleared to get an admission in ITM. ITM is a good college. Also, while giving the entrance exam the minimum criteria for clearing is 50-60% then only you will be considered for the GDPI.

It is very nice of you to think of doing your M.Tech via distance education mode, but when I checked on the website of VTU, it is located at Belgaum while you are mentioning it in Bangalore. I am attaching a link for your ready reference. Am I missing something that is in your mind and I am not able to understand? There are plenty of colleges in Bangalore offering M.Tech on regular basis and few of them by correspondence also. Shiksha app will give you all the information about these colleges as well as colleges offering distance mode also.

Consider rankings of both the university and then see in finance where you want to start up your career and then decide and go for the course.
