Between these two colleges I feel that SRM, Chennai is a better option. Facilities and faculty both are reportedly better. In addition, the placement cell functions very well.

Private engineering colleges in Karnataka admit students based on COMEDK. Hence JEE Mains score may not be useful. But then each private college can admit students directly in management quota. You can attempt via this route.

If you have a very good profile with high academic percentage, good extra curricular activities etc then scholarships chances would be high. You can visit university websites for the scholarships they provide to international students. Remember that scholarships are given on merit-basis. Besides the university scholarship you can check country specific scholarships. For this, you must know where exactly you plan to study.
