Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College is an affiliated college of West Bengal State University and was formerly affiliated under University of Calcutta. BRSNC offers more than fourty courses under Undergraduate and Postgraduate. These course are given under various programme such as such as BSc, BA, BCom, MSc, MCom across multiple specialisation. Then programme are available in Honours and General category. Also BRSNC offers distace education in PG programme in MA, MSc and MCom. The college also offers few certification courses in web designing, photography, etc.

BRSNC offers MA course in Education. The MA programmes covers a duration of two years. The eligibilty criteria for the programme is having a bachelor's degree in any discipline under WBU or any recognised University. The admission is based on the Merit.

Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College offers MSc in Microbiology, Computer Science, Geography and Food Nutrition. The eligibility criteria for MSc is Bachelor's Degree in BSc with minimum 60% agrregate. Admission is completely done on Merit basis and for the Non-WBSU students entrnce exam is held for admission. The merit list will be displayed in the College website once the candidate has submitted the application form with the required documents.
