Admission process:
Register and apply: Interested candidates can apply online/offline with the required information.
Merit Screening: Admission is based on the marks obtained in 10+2.

Hello Abhijeet,
Yes, it does matter in some of the premier institutes. Example: If you're going to IIM and non-IIM member colleges that's nothing but grade 1 and grade 2 colleges. It does matter for your percentage. They just consider your +2 marks and the stream (how much you scored).

In BBA general, there is maths for one year and BBA honors doesn't have maths at all.

Minimum eligibility to apply:
12th: 45%
Mandatory Subject : English
Admissions
Register and apply: Interested candidates can apply online with required information.
Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview based on the marks obtained in 10+2.
Final Selection
Candidates are selected based on marks obtained in 10+2 and performance in personal interview and extra curriculum activities.
Weighatge percentage for admission is given as :
70% for marks obtained in 10+2
25% for performance in personal interview
5% for extra curriculum activities

You can do BBA but I would recommend you that you should do it from Madras University as it has more value than Annamalai university and as both Annamalai and Madras University will offer you distance education degree but I doubt about the age criteria of Annamalai University. Moreover, you can get admission in BBA at Madras University easily and the degree of BBA in Madras University is of the same value as of regular degree.
