The selection for admission to BCA is generally based on the performance in the written test. Certain universities like the Christ University, Bangalore, also conduct a personal interview for selection to the programme. The final selection is based on the cumulative performance in written test, personal interview and qualifying examination. It is although not allowed, but some colleges might give this privilege to change the stream. You will have to talk to the concerned authorities of your college about the same. They will be able to guide you well in this regard.

BCA Course: Eligibility
Candidates who wish to pursue BCA course must fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria. Pass in 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognised board of education. English as a subject of study. A minimum aggregate score of 45% at 10+2 level. Some colleges prefer students from Science stream or those who have studied Mathematics and Computer Science at 10+2 level.
