BDS Eligibility

Vydehi Institute of Dental Sciences and Research Centre BDS admissions are entrance-based. The institute selects students who clear the admission requirements as given below:

• BDS Eligibility - Class 12 with relevant subjects from a recognised board
• BDS selection process - NEET score

Admission into the BDS programme of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University in Lucknow depends upon the candidate's performance in the UPNEET or NEET (UG) exams with the entrance being merit-based. Candidates must appear for these exams and make their selections for preferred location/institutions during the counselling process, which will determine their selection.

For admission in the BDS course at K.M. Shah Dental College and Hospital, the candidates should have a 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

General category candidates should have 50% marks in PCB subjects and 40% for reserved category candidates.

 Selection is mandatory based on the NEET-UG entrance exam.

In order to get yourself into BDS programme at K.M. Shah, candidates need to have a minimum of 50 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology of 10+2, and must qualify in NEET UG. ACPUGMEC conducts all the admissions through NEET counseling and all the seat allotment is made according to the NEET rank, reservation rule and availability of seats. This is an officially adopted meritocratic selection pattern in the college.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category) can apply for BDS programme at Manav Rachna Dental College. Besides, the age of the aspirants should be 17 years or more by December 31. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

The eligibility criteria for the BDS programme at the Army College of Dental Sciences, candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, securing at least 50% aggregate marks and also qualify for the NEET (UG) exam.

Examination criteria: Passed 10+2 with at least 50% Marks in PCB and English from a recognised board.

Age limit: Must be at least 17 Years of Age as of December 31 of Admission Year.

Selection criteria: Rank in NEET UG + KNRUHS NEET UG Counselling.

BDS admission at Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU is subject to the fulfillment of the NEET UG eligibility criteria. To be eligible to sit for the NEET UG exam, candidates must have passed Class 12, with an aggregate of at least 50% and English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects. Applicable relaxation in the eligibility criteria may be provided to SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. Additionally, candidates must complete the age of 17 years on or before Dec 31 of the year of admission and should be medically fit.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the BDS course is pass in Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. The accepted entrance exam is NEET. Students must clear the NEET exams for successful admission to the BDS course. Prior preparation works best for the students.
