NIFT Delhi — NIFT Delhi does not provide a dedicated hairstylist course. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is primarily oriented towards fashion design textile design, and similar fields. For hairstyling courses, you might check institutes such as VLCC Institute or L'Oréal Academy which offer beauty and hairdressing programs. They are specifically designed for students to receive real-world experience as a stylist.

If you are interested in becoming a hairstylist, the best courses are hairdressing professional Diploma or certification programs. Institutes such as Lakmé Academy, VLCC Institute and L'Oréal Academy provide courses that include haircutting, coloring, styling and treatments. A degree in cosmetology can be helpful too. Prefer a course that gives you practical learning and an insight into the industry.

Placements are an integral part of the transition process between the learning and working phases. A Makeup and Beautician course, which is generally pursued as a certificate degree, can be completed over a span of 6 months to 2 years, depending on the institute from which it is being pursued. Students who cannot devote their time towards a full-time degree can also choose to pursue the Makeup and Beautician course online. An online Makeup and Beautician course allows students to pursue the degree at their own pace.

There are many Makeup and Beautician courses that students can choose to pursue. Most students choose to go for a certificate/diploma course as it is of a shorter time span (6 months-2 years) as it allows them to quickly learn make-up skills and use them to start their careers. Other students who wish to develop deeper knowledge in the field can choose to pursue a UG/PG degree. Students can also get into the cosmetology field and work for the biggest companies in the beauty industry.
