A Makeup and Beautician course, which is generally pursued as a certificate degree, can be completed over a span of 6 months to 2 years, depending on the institute from which it is being pursued. Students who cannot devote their time towards a full-time degree can also choose to pursue the Makeup and Beautician course online. An online Makeup and Beautician course allows students to pursue the degree at their own pace.

Most students choose to go for a certificate/diploma course as it is of a shorter time span (6 months-2 years) as it allows them to quickly learn make-up skills and use them to start their careers. Other students who wish to develop deeper knowledge in the field can choose to pursue a UG/PG degree. Students can also get into the cosmetology field and work for the biggest companies in the beauty industry.
