UPSC CAPF 2022 result with names has been released by the Commission on October 31. The candidates need to check their roll numbers and names to check their result. The Commission released the result online only and the candidates need to check their result online only. The Commission conducted the UPSC CAPF exam 2022 on August 7 across the nation in the offline mode. The Commission selected 1,474 candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST). The PET/PST will be conducted by the designated authority in due course of time.

UPSC CAPF (AC) 2022 exam was conducted on August 7 across the nation offline (pen and paper mode). UPSC released the question paper of the exam online on the same day. UPSC CAPF (AC) 2022 exam notification was released online on April 20 for 253 vacancies in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The highest number of vacancies were notified for Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB), the number of vacancies is 80. UPSC CAPF 2022 advertisement notified the eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam pattern and the rules and procedures that will govern the recruitment process. 

UPSC CAPF 2021 Update: UPSC CAPF (AC) interview schedule 2021 was released online. The candidates can check their interview dates and download the interview schedule.UPSC CAPF (AC) 2021 Detailed Application Form (DAF) has been released online on September 27. The candidates can fill out the DAF online only by October 9. The candidates need to scan their documents and upload them with the DAF as per the prescribed format. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the dates for the Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test (PST) soon. It will be conducted by the designated authority. What is UPSC CAPF (AC)?

The full form of CAPF (AC) is - Central Armed Police Force (Assistant Commandant). CAPF is a competitive exam conducted by the UPSC to recruit candidates in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).  CAPF (AC) exam provides the opportunity for a direct entry at the Assistant Commandant (AC) level in the paramilitary forces in India. The CAPF exam is conducted every year to recruit candidates for the said position in the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Ministry of Home Affairs is the cadre controlling authority for the CAPF. Ministry of Home nominates the nodal authority for the physical and medical standard test (PST). The following forces recruit the candidates through this exam.

  • Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
  • Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)

UPSC CAPF (AC) 2022 Admit Card

UPSC CAPF (AC) admit card 2022 was released on July 15. The official admit card was released online only and no physical admit card will be sent to any candidate. The admit card is an essential document required to appear in the exam. The candidates need to carry one government identity proof with the admit card to appear in the exam and establish their identity when asked for at the exam centre.

UPSC CAPF (AC) 2022 Applications

UPSC CAPF applications online were started on April 20. The candidates can apply online till May 10 in the online mode online. The candidates need to apply within the dates mentioned in the official notification. The official notification mentions the image specifications to be followed for the scanned images. The Commission will also provide the facility to withdraw the UPSC CAPF 2022 application from May 17 to 23.

UPSC CAPF 2022 Eligibility Criteria

UPSC describes the eligibility criteria for the CAPF exam in the official notification. The eligibility conditions for UPSC CAPF are explained below:


  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidates who are subject of Nepal and Bhutan are also allowed to apply in the exam.
  • No other candidate can apply for the UPSC CAPF exam.

Age limit for CAPF 2022 Exam

The lower age limit for the CAPF exam is 20 years and the upper age limit is less than 25 years. The age is calculated from August 1 of the exam year. For appearing in the UPSC CAPF exam 2022, the candidates must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1997, and not later than August 1, 2002.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable.

Educational Qualification for UPSC CAPF 2022

As given in the official CAPF notification, "the candidate must hold a Bachelors degree from any recognised university" 

The candidates who appear in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the exam but they have to produce the final year mark sheet of the qualifying exam with the detailed application form.

Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificates:

The candidates having the NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be given preference at the time of the Interview. These qualifications will be given consideration at the time of the Interview/Personality Test only.

Physical Standards

The UPSC CAPF notification prescribes the physical and medical standards in a very comprehensive manner. The important points related to the CAPF physical standards are given below. The minimum requirements for the candidate are as follows:

UPSC CAPF 2022 Selection Process

UPSC will issue the admit card to the candidates without fully scrutinising the application form and hence the candidature of the candidates remain provisional till the final result. The UPSC CAPF exam consists of three stages. All three stages are given below:

Stage I is the written examination. The written exam consists of two papers-

UPSC CAPF Exam Stage II - Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests

The Physical Efficiency and Medical Standard test are only qualifying in nature. The candidates need to meet the standard prescribed in the CAPF notification.

After passing Stage I, the candidates need to undergo the Physical Efficiency and Medical Standard Test.

UPSC CAPF Stage III: Interview/Personality Test - 150 marks

The candidates declared passed in the second stage of the CAPF exam, will be called for the interview/personality test. The interview/ personality test will be conducted on the UPSC premises in New Delhi. After the interview/personality test, the final result will be declared.

Any candidate who has been selected as the Assistant Commandant in any of the forces are restricted to apply again in the exam.

UPSC CAPF 2022 Tie-Breaking Principle

UPSC issued new guidelines for the tie-breaking resolution. The candidates having equal marks in the final aggregate total is called a tie situation and such a situation will be resolved based on the age of the candidate. It means that in the case of tie-breaking, the older candidate will be given preference in the rank.
