To be admitted for the BCom programme at Bharathiar University one has to qualify 10+2 and secured a minimum of 50% of the total marks. The admission process usually takes place in May-June every year. Eligible candidates can submit their application through the university website and for this applicants have to pay INR 300 as application fees to general candidates and INR 150 to SC/ST candidates. No, there is no provision for pursuing B.Sc Optometry in Bharathiar University as it only offers full time B.Sc in Optometry programme. So, if you want to pursue B.Sc in Optometry through Distance learning you cannot do it in Bharathiar University instead you can do it on IGNOU (India Gandhi National Open University).

Bharathiar University offers a three-year BCom programme at the UG level. The admission to the programme is based on merit in Class 12. To be eligible to pursue BCom at Bharathiar University, a candidate must have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Hence a candidate scoring less thant 50% in Class 12 is not eligible to apply for BCom at the university. Such candidate can still pursue a BCom at other universities/institutes. In case they fail to scure a seat for the regular BCom courses, they can check out the colleges offering online BCom courses.
