Bachelor of Hotel Management BHM and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology BHMCT have more or less same scope. But the purview of BHMCT has better preference and far reach over BHM. Both the degrees introduce students to the fundamentals and different facets of the hospitality domain. After completion of the course, they get familiar with the practical aspects of the industry as well as strategic management issues that are involved in operating Indian and international properties. BHM is more inclined towards hotel properties, whereas BHMCT is its extension that includes catering as well. As far as job in airlines or cruises is concerned, the recruiters consider both- BMH as well as BHMCT. The areas of study in both the programmes is more or less same. This programme is approved by AICTE. The program lays emphasis on practical application of theoretical lessons through training, laboratory work, hands on workshops, theme parties, projects and study tours. To have a real life experience of Industry students go on "Industrial Exposure Training" for 6 months in various Star Hotels.
