The School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics - D.Y. Patil University BTech admissions require candidates to have Physics, Chemistry, English and either one of Mathematics or Biology as mandatory subjects during Class 12. Some BTech courses such as BTech in Biotechnology require candidates have Biology in Class 12 while others require candidates have Mathematics as a mandatory subject.

The School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics - D.Y. Patil University accepts the scores of any national or state level BTech entrance exam for admissions. This can include the JEE Mains, MHT CET, CUET-UG, etc. 

Candidates who fail to appear for any of these exams can still apply to appear in the in-house entrace exam of School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics - D.Y. Patil University.

Yes you can work as a data scientist after pursuing a course in Bioinformatics. Besides the core skills used by a data scientist, one thing to adapt to is the domain-specific terminology, concepts and certain processes exclusive to biological data.

The catch is - you'll still be dealing with data. You'll be studying the data and exemplifying findings just as you would in any other field. Biological data might seem comparatively sensitive and complex.

No, JSS Polytechnic for the Physically Handicapped (JSSPDA) do not specifically teach Bioinformatics course. Some of the Diploma courses available in their official site and many education portals are Architecture Assistantship, Commercial Practice, Computer Science and Engineering, Jewellery Design and Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Applications (Visually Impaired) admissions, Apparel Design and Fabrication Technology, Electrical Engineering and Electric Vehicle Technology. Yes, there is a placement cell in Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) to provide placements to M.Sc Bioinformatics students as well as internships. Though the Bioinformatics industry does not have major company names exhaustively listed, the overall placement report of the university shows that there have been 513 passed out students in total; with 102 of them being taken in with a median package of 2.75 LPA, in 2023 in the case of PG (2-year) courses. On the Centre for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, the page also states about the Placements in Bioinformatics and this is an active place.

No, there is no BSc Bioinformatics course in Stella Mary's College for 2025-2026 but they do offer a M.Sc in Bioinformatics course in Stella Mary's College for 2025-2026. For B.Sc, you have to look for other colleges for BSc Bioinformatics course.

For admission in M.Sc Bioinformatics at Pondicherry University through CUET PG 2025, the expected minimum cutoff scores vary by category and rounds.

Expected cutoff score in CUET PG for general catagory is 83 marks in round 1 and 165 marks in round 2

For obc catagory 26 marks for round 1

and for Home state 29 marks for round 1
