Yes, graduates of Bioinformatics courses work as Data Scientists. Both of these disciplines require a similar set of talents, therefore Bioinformatics courses graduates with the above-mentioned skill set can work in Data Science roles in the industry if they can adapt their mindsets to the subject.
Candidates are left with the majority of the Data Science skill set plus a few more if they take the domain-specific requirements out of the Bioinformatics skill set. Most likely, those who transition from bioinformatics to Data Science will need to adjust to their employer's data organisation and distribution environment.

Computational Biology is an interdisciplinary area that uses Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics to help address biological problems, whereas bioinformatics integrates Biological knowledge with computer programming and massive quantities of big data.
After candidates graduate, they will learn how to design technologies that enhance Biology even further. If candidates want to study across disciplines, Bioinformatics is seen to be the ideal field. Contrarily, Computer Science deals with hands-on learning to support several sectors and organisations with the addition of common Mathematics and Programming to address issues in

The main difference between Biotechnology and Bioinformatics is that the former uses technology to study biological science, while the latter uses genetic engineering to create pharmaceutical drugs, transgenic plants and animals, vaccines, and recombination proteins.
However, they are engaged in both research and the production of these innovations. In contrast, bioinformatics is concerned with information technology and biological sciences. DNA sequencing is one of these; bio-bioinformatics also involves the use of software tools for protein modeling and drug design.
