Scope for Higher Studies after B.Sc Chemistry
The B.Sc chemistry graduates have many options for their higher studies. Majority of these graduates option for Masters degree in the same. But they can also choose various specialized areas in this field for the post graduation courses. Many universities offer the study of chemistry at post graduate and at doctoral levels. For joining M.Sc in chemistry or related discipline courses, they have to pursue B.Sc form any recognized universities with at least 55% marks. Some of the higher study options after B.Sc Chemistry are

Is Biology not a reasonable prerequisite to expect from future biomedical engineers? Of course it is an appropriate expectation from the engineers, since they are designing for the human body.

No, biology isn't compulsory.
There are five sections in the NEST exam. The General Section i.e. the first section is compulsory for all. From the rest of the four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology) you can answer any three of them. If you wish then you can also answer all of the four sections. In that case best 3 subjects will be considered for the merit list.

Candidate should have Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, biological science,
Physical science or mathematic and should have good academic records.
Candidate should have ability to pass the NASA long-duration space flight physical.
Specific requirements:
Distant and near visual acuity:
Must be correctable t20/20, each eye
Blood pressure not exceed 140/90
Standing height between 62 and 75 inches
