At BIMTECH, this course is approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) & the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). There are more than 400 seats available for the course. No, admission to all courses at BIMTECH is entrance-based. Students need to qualify the respective entrance exam with a valid score before applying at the college.

For admission to BIMTECH, 35% weightage is aligned to entrance exam cutoff for Merit/ ESCS/ International Students Category students. However, for NRI/ Sponsored/ Supernumerary seats, these entrance exam scores are not considered for admission. BIMTECH admission to MBA course is based on either of CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT and GMAT percentile. The registeration process for XAT exam is ongoing and can be filled by Nov 30. Further, the final selection list would be declared by last week of March, tentatively.

BIMTECH cutoffs are declared in the form of final selection list, which is prepared taking into account the following parameter related to the candidate:
- Academic performance
- Entrance exam scores of any of CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ MAT
- Performance of the candidate in Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test based on the respective weightages
- Work Experience (if applicable)
