If the candidates are not satisfied with their BITSAT 2023 seat allotment, then they can choose to forgo their seat and remain on the wait list. By remaining on the wait list, the candidates will be able to participate in the next rounds of BITSAT counselling and try for admissions into their preferred course or college, if the seats get vacant. If the candidates are able to secure their preferred choice in the later counselling rounds, then they can confirm their admission by paying the required fee and submitting the documents.

During every iteration, the authorities will announce the BITSAT seat allotment results for the qualified and registered candidates. Selection of candidates for the iterations are done based on their rank and the preferences that they submit during the counselling registration process.
