To apply for the BSW course at St Edmunds College Meghalaya candidates must have a minimum of 55 percent aggregate in Class 12 and appear for the CUET (UG) exam based on which their admission will be selected. Candidates who fail to appear for CUET may still receive admission into any remaining seats on the basis of college admission test results and Class 12 aggregate results.

Placement support for social work students is limited and often depends on the specialization—they may need to be proactive and rely on personal networking or departmental guidance to secure opportunities.

Internships are available, especially during later years, but structured fieldwork may not be consistent across specializations.

University-wide placement strength exists, though actual job placements within the BSW programme appear to be low.
