For the B.Tech program, Goel Group of Institutions requires that one must pass 10+2 with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission through entrance exams is also offered. The important dates related to the TNEA application process for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses at Paavai Engineering College are typically as follows: the online application is opened in first week of May while the last date for the submission of the online application is in last week of May. The random number process is conducted in mid June while the rank list is released in second week of June. Counseling usually starts early in July usually on the third week.

It can also be enrolled through the CSAT that stands for the Consortium of Self-Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu for management seat.
