Candidates can check out the GJUST BTech allotment list online on its official website. The seat allotment process is carried out through HSTES counselling. The candidates get a seat based on merit/JEE score. After filling out the admission form, aspirants should wait for the cutoff list and then take part in the counselling, if they meet the cutoff marks.

The cutoff marks vary for each of the GJUST BTech specialisation. GJUST BTech JEE cutoff list is prepared as per the applicants exam scores, seat availability, and category of the candidate. A course-wise placements report has not been released by the authorities. In the 2023 placements as per an overall report, a total of 77 companies took part and selected 330 students. The highest package offered during the placements stood at 14.75 LPA. Some of the top companies that participated in the placements drive were IBM, Nagarro, Haldiram's, Amazon, etc.

Admission to the UG-level course is merit/JEE score based. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility requirements can visit the university website to apply. After application submission, it is scanned by the authorities and cutoff list is published. The applicants who meet the cutoff criteria then need to take part in HSTES counselling. In the counselling, seats are allotted and cutoff is released for each round of counselling until all the seats are filled.

SASTRA University BTech admission criteria are divided into two streams and they are as mentioned below:
Stream 1: JEE Mains + Class 12 marks (50% weightage given to each), for admission to 50% of the total seats
Stream 2: Class 12 marks (100% weightage), for admission to the remaining 50%
