RGIPT follows the seat reservation policy for the BTech programme as per the Government of India directive. In addition, following the Government of India directive and to encourage technical education among the girls, few seats are reserved for female candidates on supernumerary basis over the current strength. However, certificates for SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL)/ PwD/ EWS category must be submitted during the time of admission.

To join a four-year full-time BTech course at St.Joseph University, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Admission to this course is entirely merit-based.
