Yes, some colleges offer engineering programmes for biology background students. Biology students can pursue a B tech in biotechnology at colleges like VIT. In order to be eligible for the VITEEE exam for the BTech biotechnology program, a candidate must have at least a 60% total score in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology from their 12th board exam, or 50% if they are under the SC or ST category.

IIIT Bhubaneswar is a state-level institution and an initiative of the Government of Odisha. IIIT Bhubaneswar is recognised by the UGC and Unitary Technical University. The highest and average package offered during IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech placements 2022 stood at INR 35 LPA and INR 13 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 50 companies visited the campus and 487 offers were made during IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech placements 2022. NSUT Jamshedpur offers 8 specializations in B.Tech. The course fee lies in the range of INR 2.1 -2.8 Lakh. The admission is based on class 12th scores only. So, the university offer a good range of specialisation and the fee is also cheaper than other colleges.
Considering the placement records, the highest package offered was INR 10 LPA and the average package was INR 5.95 LPA. The placement rate is 71% for UG and 57% for PG students. ROI is good, however, the placement rate is average.
Overall, it is an average college for B.Tech.
