The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the BTech course at Takshashila University Powered by Sunstone is pass in Class 12 (or equivalent) examinations from any recognised board with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and optional subjects as Chemistry/ Computer science/ Biology with aggregate of 45% marks in MPC for General Category and 40% marks for Reserved Category. Students must meet the eligibility criteria for a successful admission to the UG courses.

As per the 2024 cutoff report, the REC BTech cutoff 2024 ranged between, 6,193 and 46,008 for the General AI category candidates, wherein BTech in CSE is the most competitive course. The easiest course was BTech in Civil Engineering specialisation to secure admission at Rajalakshmi Engineering College. Hence, candidates must ensure they meet the requisite cutoff to be eligible for the programme.

The REC BTech admissions are decided on the scores obtained by the candidates in the TNEA entrance examination. Candidates who score appropriate ranks are proceeded to the counselling rounds. In addition to the TNEA entrance exam, candidates are also required to fulfill the eligibility criteria for their chosen BTech course.

Admission for the BTech programme at the college is based on the TNEA scores, followed by the TNEA counselling. However, it is essential; for candidates to meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. Those who are shortlisted must submit the applicable course fee to confirm the enrollment.
