Although it is not specifically aimed at preparing graduates for industries related to computer science, the focus on research and problem solving ability make graduates of the program in high demand with major companies in the computing sector. The fees for the program are approximately INR 2,20,000 per year and in total, the fee for the entire 4 years program would be approximately INR 8,80,000. Placement details indicate that IISc has gained good placement records in that students secure average salaries of INR 15,00,000 to INR per annum.
