No, GMAT is not compulsory to get admissions into MBA courses at RIIM Pune. Because the institute accepts several other entrance examination scores for admission to management programs, such as CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA and NMAT. Therefore, GMAT can be considered as one of the accepted entrance examinations for admission to MBA courses at RIIM Pune. However, it is not compulsory because the institute offers several other entrance examinations for admission to the MBA program.

Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya, hosts a mediocre MBA programme that is recognised by the UGC but turns out to have limited placement records (40-50%, INR 2-4 LPA). Recruiters include local companies not major MNCs.

The fee structure (around INR 1.5 lakh) is not high, but student reviews rate it as 3/5, saying that it is basic regarding infrastructure and faculty. It would therefore be ideal for distance learners and students with financial constraints. It is less competitive when compared to IIM Shillong.

Eligibility for Admission to the MBA at IFHE Hyderabad (ICFAI) requires a bachelor's degree with marks not less than 50% (45% SC/ST) for candidates to apply for the entrance exam.

This year, the admission test could be through IBSAT, CAT, NMAT, or even GMAT. Work experience is an additional qualification (2 years or more) that strengthens an application, but it does not limit other applicants. Fill the online application form (July-December 2025, fee ~INR 1,500) along with marks sheets and scorecards. Selection will be based on group discussion, interview, etc. Candidates scoring well CAT (75+ percentile) have an advantage.
