You have asked a very interesting but pertinent query. Whether to do Masters in Canada for Germany? Both the answers have pros and cons. In Canada, the advantage is that the medium of instruction is English and it is convenient for students from India. In addition, Canada is reasonably well industrialized and getting jobs after post-graduation is not difficult at all. On the other hand, Germany is considered as the leading country for mechanical engineering. Hence the courses for post-graduation studies are well suited for mechanical engineers. Carleton is a popular university, so I think it may be a good option. Admissions are slightly easier compared to other top tier ones but also it is a smaller university compared to many others. It depends on what you want to study, journalism and social sciences are supposedly good in Carleton. You can keep Carleton as your last option probably, first try in Simon Fraser, Calgary, Alberta, Waterloo, Ottawa, York universities etc.

I think for Bachelor's degree your profile is good. You must further check the subject specific cut-offs with the university. Your IELTS score is also quite good.
