Fanshawe College is an average university. I will recommend you to consider other Canadian institutes. You can consider the Masters in Civil Engineering degree offered by The University of British Columbia, Queen's University and University of Waterloo in Canada.

Hi Gurnoor, it is best if you complete 10+2 in India , take the SAT and TOEFL and then pursue your bachelor degree in US or Canada. You must be academically strong and must achieve good grades. Maintain extra-curricular activities too for a better profile. Hope it helps.

You can continue masters in the same field. Or for specifics, you may try automobile. If you are interested in some field that is not relevant to your bachelor degree, you may still pursue that. Canada does allow you to change fields.
For example computers has world wide demand so many switch to computers for masters

Cape Breton will fetch more money for sure and provides placement opportunity too unlike many Indian colleges. However you should consider if you will be able to pay for tuition there as even though cape Breton is cheaper compared with other Canadian universities, it is expensive than education in India

For 2016 intakes, the admission deadlines are closed and the process is nearly completed by April. So you can aim for the Jan 2017 intake if you wish.
Here is the admission timeline
1. April 2016 to September 2016
Start early and by August, shortlist 8-12 universities that you will apply to. Visit university websites and note application requirements, deadlines etc.
By September, be familiar with bank loan options and scholarships to fund your studies.
Begin by downloading admissions brochures from the university websites. Most brochures are out more than a year earlier.
Do some initial research on various accommodation options.
