According to the official website of IRCC, the Canada student visa processing time for Indian students is 4 weeks. However it can be delayed due to type of application, appliccation volume, student direct stream programs and other important factors. IRCC updates this timeline regularly so it is better to check official website for the latest update.

If you belong to a country where English is not the native language, then you are required to provide proof of English-language proficiency to get a study visa of Canada. You can apply and appear for various English proficiency tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE. Make sure to score at least 6.0 on the IELTS if you have applied for an undergraduate degree and 6.5 if you have applied for a postgraduate degree.

International students can work up to 24 hours per week on their valid Canadian study visa. Recently, the Canadian government removed the 20 hours per week cap. Students can work part time on-campus or off-campus to cover the living and personal expenses. However, students can work full time during vaccation or semester break.
