Age is usually not a factor while granting visa. You must get admitted to a university in Canada in order to get the visa. You must work on applying to good universities and competing all other formalities, so that your visa application is not rejected.

Hi Chirag,
Both the options are different. I will suggest you to pursue a course as international students are eligible to apply for work permit after they graduate. Passing out from a Canadian University will give you a good hold of the situation and opportunities there. What you want to study is up to you, you may pursue Masters in mechanical engineering if you want to settle down in R and D sector or switch to MBA or MS in management. Please visit university websites and see which program you want to do. Check the admission requirements and apply.

Hi Miral,
You should probably check with an immigration consultant for work related issues. It is very true that your degree granting institution must be recognized for further studies and work. Secondly, you must also have work experience and exceptional talents. You can think about pursuing another degree from a Canadian Institute and then look for a job there. International students can work for 2 to 3 years after graduation, if you get a good job you can apply for a PR too.

It is hard for you as you have 11 backlogs and your IELTS score is less. So, chances of visa rejection are more.

Hello Jaspreet,
First, analyse the reason for rejection. Try to correct the error and reapply. If the rejection was based on your previous studies or the course which you are planning to pursue, then the change, of course, will be the best option. If your visa was refused under SPP category, definitely the refusal will be either because of financial documents, previous education/employment or your future course.
If the refusal reason is because of the course and if you wish to change the course, then I would suggest you write a strong SOP and submit it along with the visa documents.
All the best.

To make things clear, please note that universities don't grant visas. Any university can only grant you admission to a course you applied to. Student visas are granted by the Canadian Embassy and consulates, and admission to college and visa applications are two very different processes.
Sorry, Fraser international college is not under the SPP. However a similar named university, Fraser Valley University, is under SPP.
