If we talk about the career now a days, Government sectors may not be able to fetch a career in computers so easily and effectively. But, when we talk about the private sector, if you have done MCA from the good universities, you can kick-start your career very well and with the time you will be able to set yourself abroad for international projects.

Well, it is easy for a mathematically challenged person to learn Animation and VFX, and likewise, it is easier for a creatively challenged person to learn Programming. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, and of course Game Studios.
What kind of money to expect?
As a fresher, you can expect to earn around Rs.15,000- Rs.20,000 and once you gain adequate experience, anything from a Lacs to a couple of Lacs and more is yours for the asking. And, if you can't decide whether to take on freelance projects or a full-time job, remember that freelancers are often paid more since they work on contract-based jobs, however, the amount of pay they rake in is undoubtedly based on their level of talent and experience. There's a caveat though. As a freelancer in the VFX industry, as with any field, there's no stability.

A geologist's job involves two main functions: Exploration and Research. Government jobs like GSI, CGWB offer you a decent living style, while public sector (ONGC, HPCL, IOC) offer handsome salary with good perks and better working conditions.
