CAT score is valid for one year at the IIMs and top B-Schools. In some tier 3 and government institutions, CAT score of previous two years are also acceptable. Many B-schools including IIMs have an option of deferment of admission, wherein you can confirm your admission and pay the nominal fee but join the batch in the next year. It is advised that candidates take admission in the same year as their CAT attempt so that they don't have to reappear next year. Common Admission is a national-level MBA entrance exam to get admission into Indian B-Schools. CAT registration takes place in August and it ends in September. Usually, admit cards are released in October and the exam takes place in November every year. Results are declared by January. Based on CAT results, students can apply to multiple B-Schools.

CAT 2024 result has been out. Candidates willing to opt for PGDM course must get ready for the admission process at LBSIM. Admission at LBSIM consist of several stages wherein it first release its cutoffs for the MBA courses. After that, students were invited to appear for Written Ability, GD and PI rounds. Then after, institutes shortlist candidates based on their merit results. It is advised for the candidates to keep track of their results. Further, they need to prepare in advance for the GD/PI rounds. Also, they must keep track of the schedule to avoid any rush.
