CAT Cut-off

In 2024, the CAT cutoff percentile for the Shiv Nadar University Chennai was 60 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. The is the overall sectional cutoff. More details are below: 

CAT cut offs do not flutuate much. For the past few years, the CAT exam cut offs for IIMs or other top colleges have not seen much change. If there is any change at all, it is in decimals. However, that decimal point too can make or mar admission chances. CAT cut offs for 2026 admission will largely remain the same as the CAT 2025 exam difficulty level was same as last year and number of takers dipped from last year.

CAT cut offs for IIM admission 2026 batch will not change. They will remain high between 92-100 percentile. Top 6 IIM cut offs will be between 98-100, while the cut offs for rest of them will be between 92-97.

The CAT cutoff for the year 2024 at Kurukshetra University is expected to remain at a similar level to the previous year's cutoff. The current CAT cutoff trend at Kurukshetra University shows no change in the competition for the MBA course. The cutoff is expected to range between 25 - 70 in 2024.

MDI Gurgaon does not release cutoff list. The eligibility criteria set for admission to MDI Gurgaon follows that, Candidate must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidate must have scored at least 50% in both Class 10 and 12, and have a valid CAT/GMAT score. In addition to the CAT score, candidates must also perform well in the Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for final selection. Additionally, MDI Gurgaon does not have any management quota seats.

The B-School with CAT cutoff of 85 percentile that has the highest fee is MICA Ahmedabad. The course fee of MICA's PGDM in Communication is INR 21 lakh. The fee is to be paid in instalment. MICA offers scholarships to meritorious students. MICA Scholarships are awarded annually on the basis of student's overall academic performance and family income. The scholarships are awarded for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communications) - PGDM (C) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management - PGDM and the 1-year Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Crafting Creative Communications (CCC).

The MBA institute with an 85 percentile CAT cutoff that has the lowest fee is Delhi School of Economics. The fee is INR 30,000 for two years. The course fee is low in this institute because it is a government aided institution. DSE is a highly reputed for Economics and MBA programmes and provides excellent placement opportunities to its students.

There are a very few IIMs which have CAT cutoff of 85 percentile. These are IIM Nagpur, IIM Amritsar and IIM Bodh Gaya. Since these IIMs have been launched in the last decade, the cut offs are low for admission to MBA/PGP courses. Reserved category students can apply with 85 percentile in most of the IIMs as the cut off for them is much lower in comparison to General category candidates.
