Generally, the difficulty level of CAT syllabus is termed as moderate, majority of the questions appear are of medium, accounting for about 40-50% of total questions while difficult questions constitute about 10-20 % of total questions. The rest 30- 40 percent is regarded as easy, simply to answer by giving facts and some basic concepts. To overcome the difficulty level, all the candidates should start preparing at least six to twelve months prior to the exam date and revolve around practicing regularly in between and also, by using online resources, books, and samples to attempt. The exam attracts about two hundred and fifty thousand candidates each year meaning that the chances of getting a good score are slim and therefore the need to prepare vitally important since CAT preparation courses cost anything from ten thousand Indian rupees to fifty thousand Indian rupees.
