It's good that you have started preparing for the CAT exam. In any case, a regular MBA is far better than any kind of Weekend Executive programme. Considering your 3 years of work Experience, it would be better if you pursue a 2-year regular MBA programme. Anyways MBA is like once in a lifetime opportunity. You can try giving PGDBA exam. The course is jointly offered by IIM Calcutta, ISI Kolkata and IIT Kharagpur. You don't need GMAT or CAT for it. The intake is usually 62.
