Aliah University offers an integrated BBA + MBA course. Moreover, to get admission into this course, candidates must complete their Class 12 from any stream. Additionally, they must have secured an aggregate of 50%. The final admission is based on candidates achieved scores in the university's in-house entrance test, i.e., AUAT. IPMAT exam is conducted for students after Class 12 who are seeking admission to the five year integrated programme in management, whereas CAT is conducted for graduates aiming for the MBA programme at various B-schools in the country including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, etc.
Students who wish to start early and wish to enter IIMs right after Class 12, IPMAT can be a good choice. And, CAT is ideal for those looking to gain work or academic experience before pursuing management studies. Hence, to know which exam is better, the answer lies on the student's career stage and goals.

Yes, there is negative marking of -1 in the Quantitative Aptitude section of CAT, but only for MCQ type questions. There is no negative marking for non-MCQ type questions. The CAT Quantitative Aptitude section is the only section that has non-MCQs. So, candidates can take a chance with non-MCQs in this section and attempt it even if they are not 100% sure. However, they must not do guess work in non-MCQs at any cost because if their chosen option is incorrect they will lose marks.
